Mappy!

i introduced the office to the wonders of Mappy. its basically a game with a mouse (dressed like a police officer) jumping on trampolines in a mansion, collecting stolen goods while little cats chase him. yeah, ok i didn't invent the damn game, so don't ask me... ha.

Bryce was particularly bad at it until he took it home for the weekend and decided to crack the code of high scores... and show me up at the office.

he racked up an impressive 76,870. i only got to 42,900. i'm not bitter though. i even helped him out by writing his name at the top of the score chart :)

saturday was a great day... walking up and down Queen West with the Trini... she got the skirt she's been wanting and i got my American Apparel fix (cross back mesh bras!)

but geez... i hope those garbage dudes go back to work for the sake of everyone living in the GTA... stinky!

Gift Burger

i don't think i was ever meant to get the "Gift Burger" from Harveys

to celebrate Harvey's birthday, they are giving out a coupon for a free "Gift Burger" whenever you buy one...

i ended up losing the first coupon i got... so when i got the second one, i made sure to put it in a safe place (with my old Subway Scrabble pieces and Burger King coupons...duh)

i decided to use it today and when i got to Harveys... i didn't have it with me. i was too lazy to go back to the office to get it, so...

there you have it. i'm an idiot

i was in scarborough this morning, merchandising at a store... when i came across this mannequin in a window... something is a little... off? (and no, i'm not referring to the ugly shoes in the poster)

First day of summer/happy fathers day!

yay! first day of summer and fathers day (yesterday... sorry, didn't feel like updating then ;)

spent some time at Lakeshore Promenade with lissa... we had ice cream from Dairy Cream (Crispy Crunch & Skor blizzard) and then sat on the rocks for the "view" that lissa wanted to see. we promptly moved over to the "beach" so i could put my feet in the water, after laughing at melissa for her desire for the "view" (there was no view to speak of, just water).

we saw baby swans (everybody go "awww!") and the mommy & daddy swan. then there were a big pack of canada geese... i don't like them. in fact, i hate them. they are evil and chase people and leave crap everywhere. the only thing i like about them is how warm they keep me in the winter ;)

lissa has all the pictures of us struggling to walk around in the water... but it was good times. a sunday well spent! sun, ice cream and swans :P

Year One

lissa and i saw this yesterday... i'm not a movie critic, but it was pretty funny. she got to satisfy her Michael Cera craving... and i settled my popcorn craving.

Haircut day!

yeah, i know i've been making a big deal out of the haircut thing... but i've been wearing hats for like 7 months due to a shitty hair situation and it might be over today! i'm gonna see my fav hairdresser/friend, Masoud @ Toni & Guy Yorkville. if you ever need a good snip, head over there. it's well worth the time/money. i even did hair modelling for them back in the day:



yup, thats me about 6 years ago. i'm usually not one to dye my hair, but they don't ask for your opinion much with hair modelling. that was a pretty crazy 'do. Boom Dynamite from Scare Dem Crew liked it (true story)

anyways... friday... me at the office, evidently working hard:





with my 2 most fav things at the moment... a cupcake from the Cupcake Shoppe (thanks to lissa <3) and my yellow G-Shock. Lady GaGa wears it in that semi-porn music vid of hers where she is dancing around with a ton of black dudes on the subway. yeah, that one. and umm... that isn't the reason why i have it, but i thought it would be an interesting tidbit. anyways, i digress.



random... but i was walking around on Queen St, shopping and visiting some customers and i saw them putting up the stage for tomorrow's MMVA's. quite the install. anyways, Much isn't having a party this year for me to invade and hang out by the free food, so it isn't very high on my priority list. laser hair removal and Good Life fitness classes has beat it out.

Locker room etiquette

ladies. i have to admit, i'm a little squeamish with your average locker room bizness. the whole nakedness around me thing. i think it stems from me being an only child and constantly being alone... and locking doors behind me... and never changing in front of others. i used to change in the bathroom stall by myself when i was in high school

anyways, i digress.

but nowadays, i've come to terms with that you are gonna take your clothes off. i've come to terms that i might see some of your nakedness. i understand that you may extend this nakedness for an abnormally long time, even during social interaction. you may even talk to me during it (please don't?)

ok. i have to draw the line somewhere though. please, PLEASE don't apply pantyliners in my presence. it's bad enough you did it in front of your mom.

Yay summer!

so it's not officially here according to the calendar, but all my summer dresses are out in full effect and my toes are painted for the occasion (french manicure, in case you wanted to know.)

i went to an exercise class with lissa this weekend called Zumba at Goodlife... yes, i went to the gym. i'm gonna try to get in better shape (TRY, ahem). the class was described as follows:

lissa and i went on a Vaughan Mills adventure not so long ago and came up with some gems (besides Taco Bell stomach murder). since 99% of the stores in that mall are clearance items, it's no wonder that the Toys Toys Toys store was overrun with bizarre collectable and ethnic Barbies. if shes not blonde and blue eyed, they have it! all the good ones go for full price in the regular store... but hey... i know some little girl out there wants Hungary Barbie, maybe Cinco de Mayo Barbie... or Christmas 2004 Barbie. or how about Grandma or Grandpa? bet you didn't realize that you could buy them too!
